We can't do it without you!!
We need you and your commitment to Festival 2024 to make it happen. Festivals cost money, venues need deposits, photographers and videographers require advance payment, tutors who are amazing supporters of our MEDANZ Festival also should be fairly compensated for their time, effort and attendance, it all adds up. MEDANZ is no longer in the financial position to underwrite a festival without the support of our subscribers up front. So here is the idea, we will sell festival passes to the event now, with a minimum fundraising target of $6000 by 31 December 2023 for the event to go ahead.

These fundraising festival passes are extra special, you get to participate in the festival event itself at no additional cost, plus you get to tell us who you want to teach and what topics you would like covered (unfortunately we can't guarantee your requests will be met, but we will do our best!)

There are 3 different Festival Passes available to purchase with two options to upgrade,
plus a donation option as follows:
VIP Festival Pass
$300
This non-transferrable pass will include access to 4 workshops of your choice, plus 1 show ticket and 1 hafla ticket, PLUS 1 performance slot at one of the events over the festival, AND 4 requests for workshop topics and/or tutors - you may choose 4 tutors from the MEDANZ Teachers' Network or 2-3 tutors from our network plus a maximum of 2 non- member tutors (ie tutors not currently listed).

Festival Day Pass
$180
This non-transferrable pass will include access to 2 workshops of your choice on either Friday or Saturday (you may decide which day once the Festival Schedule has been released), plus 1 show ticket and 1 hafla ticket. This pass will also provide you with the opportunity to request 2 workshop topics and/or tutors from the MEDANZ Teachers' Network or 1 tutor from our network and 1 non-member tutor.

Single Festival Pass
$120
This non-transferrable pass will include access to 1 workshop of your choice, plus 1 show ticket and 1 hafla ticket. This pass will also provide you with the opportunity to request 1 workshop topic and 1 tutor from the MEDANZ Teachers' Network .

Pass Upgrades
You can upgrade your Single Festival Pass to a Day Pass, and then upgrade your Day pass to a VIP Festival Pass - this will allow you to budget for your festival pass over several months - the target of $6000 must be reached by 31 December 2023 for festival to proceed.
Donations
The option to make a $50 donation towards the Festival Fundraising will be welcomed from those who may be unable to attend the festival in Christchurch but still wish to contribute, plus we will include one transferrable show or hafla ticket for your friends and family to be able to attend.

Tutors
Do you have a skill that you would like to teach at our festival in Christchurch on April 26 & 27 2024? Bellydance teachers, musicians, costume creators, what ever your skill, please complete the application form linked below:
Tutors should expect to be contacted in late December/early January with contracts detailing their financial compensation for this event. We hope that all tutors will get behind the fundraising for this festival by purchasing their own Festival Passes and promoting the event passes to their students.
Fundraising Details
The Committee has set a target of $6000 by 31 December 2023, if this target is not reached the Festival will be cancelled and all Festival passes and Donations will be refunded less the Wix/PayPal processing fees.
Manual Payments: (deposits made into the MEDANZ Kiwibank account) If we have not received your payment within 7 days your ticket/upgrade will be cancelled.

Tutors who would like to teach at Festival 2024 can apply here. Deadline is 30 November 2023. We do expect some overlap in workshops offered and those requested by our fundraisers.

Once you have purchased a Fundraising Festival Pass you will be eligible to perform at any event over the festival, including the theatre show. Show and hafla performers will be invited to submit their items for consideration from November through to late January.

What you should do now! Purchase your 2024 Festival Pass as soon as you can and request your tutors and topics. Then encourage your students, dance friends, musicians and supporters to purchase a pass or donate, and help us reach our $6000 target ahead of 31 December. Please support our Festival, created, crafted and funded by our dance community.
