Notes:
-
All information is self reported.
-
MEDANZ does not endorse or provide guarantees of any teachers listed. Please use your judgement.
-
“Training for Teaching” - this includes study other than dance/music for example teaching methodology and safe dance practice. That is, how the teacher has been trained to teach. This would normally be 6 months-3 years of recognized tertiary study.
-
“Maintenance of Dance/Music Training” – this is how the teacher keeps up to date and extends their own skills. For brevity the register displays the years of the last three significant workshops/training the teacher has undertaken in the last five years. This should be beyond beginner level and with a (single) experienced and recognized teacher for at least 8 hours. Teachers may have also attended short mix and match workshops with a range of teachers – but these are not included.
-
MED – Middle Eastern Dance (embracing belly dance, folkloric, beledi, and Tribal)
-
MEM – Middle Eastern Music
