Nisha Suresh

This workshop is by Nisha Suresh who has 11 years’ experience in professional dancing in India, United Arab Emirates and New Zealand. She started her Belly Dance journey in 2008 when she imitated Shakira's moves, soon it became her passion and she started her technical learning in 2014 from Sanaz, a stunning professional belly dancer in India with her own dance studio. Nisha expanded her knowledge by travelling and learning from different teachers around the world, including Sadie, Jillina, Julia Farid, Mercedes Nieto, Daliya, Violet Scrap, Anasma, Payal Gupta, to name a few. She has competed in a few international dance festivals and recently won 1st place at Dubai Belly Dance Festival, 2022. She is a well-rounded performer with experience in corporate shows, stage shows, Indian movie performance, theatre, tv and even music albums. She has been in NZ and working as a professional dancer for the past 2.5 years performing in different stages both Belly Dance and Bollywood Dance and has been judging Ms India NZ, Auckland Diwali 2023-2025, AUT talent shows, music concerts etc. Working alongside and learning from well-known teachers and artists, she has so much to share with her audience and students. Having a solid base in styles like Raqs Sharqi, Tribal, ATS, Shaabi, Khaleeji, Iraqi, Fusion and Baladi, she likes to experiment with styles without losing the essence of the culture and tradition of belly dancing but Raqs Sharqi style has been her favourite and she always loves the classical pure Oriental Dance. Her experience in working in India and Dubai alongside artists like Shiamak Davar, Karan Aujla, Nora Fatehi, Juhi Chawla, Mohanlal, Sonu Nigam, Shanker Mahadev, Darshan, Sudeep and many more, makes her a true Bollywood artist.
