MEDANZ | Festival 2026 Update - 23 April

By Jeena Monk  ·  23 April 2026

Hi all,

I'm sorry this is very, very late in getting this out to you. Attached is a map of the venue for the weekend. If you are driving to Orewa College you can park in the carparks in either gate 1 or gate 2.

Orewa College, 76 Riverside Road, Orewa, 0931

If you need help, text or call Jeena 021 1757 646

Meet and greet and info desk: The foyer (1) will have the door closest to Riverside Road open. I will have some balloons and streamers there to help you find it. Inside will be the meet and greet, hudra and info desk. We will have class schedules displayed the info desk all weekend, with one on each workshop door.

Tickets for the weekend: You will have a physical envelope with tickets inside that you need before participating in your first workshop - the exception are Catherine's warmups, no ticket required for them.
Please come to the info desk, and request the name that was on the credit card that paid for your tickets, then we can mark you off that you have collected your tickets. If you have purchased tickets for others for the evening events, you will either need to get them to them, or put their name on the envelope and leave at the front desk that evening.

Navigating the school: I will have balloons up to show entrances for getting in and out of the buildings over the weekend. We do have to change rooms between Saturday and Sunday, but we will have maps up to help you. Please ask for help if you are lost. There will be balloons and streamers up as much as I can, to help you around the school.
Angels: Please be kind to the angels, they have volunteered to help. We ask that you hand in your workshop armband as you walk in to the class, and write your name down. If a teacher wants to send out any info, we can use this list to forward info to the email address supplied for the ticket purchases.

Food: MEDANZ is not supplying food for the weekend, you will need to bring your own lunch and dinner. There is a 2 hour break for dinner each evening, however please be aware that Orewa is basically closed after 8:30pm, so make sure you have something organised. There will be tea, coffee and hot chocolate available over the weekend, with a choice of milks. Hot drinks are a gold coin donation, you are welcome to bring your own cups to save on using paper cups. There will be a few snacks at the Cabaret Hafla, but not enough to feed you dinner.

If you have any other queries, please let me know membership@medanz.org.nz Regards, Jeena Monk Festival Co-Ordinator
