MEDANZ Wellington Mini-Festival
Professional belly dancer and master teacher from Brazil, Vanessa Castro has around 14 years of experience in belly dance. She's the director of her school, 'Studio Vanessa Castro', in Curitiba Brazil. She was a dancer in the famous “Khan el Khalili” in São Paulo Brazil and she has received many awards with her students. In 2014, Vanessa took her training to the next level, travelling around the Emirates, Lebanon and Egypt to learn more about culture and dance. Her passion for her art form is matched only by her love of teaching it. Nowadays she is living in Auckland working as a teacher and performer at Phoenix Belly Dance.

How to read and interpret the musical instruments as you have never seen before! Learn how to use energy, intention and personality to play each instrument with your body.

Workshop 3: Rhythms

Vanessa will present a way to facilitate the understanding of the rhythms for belly dancers. In addition, you will learn practical combinations for these rhythms and a variety of music.
