Festival venue, accommodation and local information

Venuepapa_hou_theatre.jpg

We are very excited to return to Christchurch, home of the first MEDANZ Festival, to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We are also very excited to be able to use a newly converted arts venue located at the YMCA, 12 Hereford Street, Christchurch.

Just across the road from the still-being-mended Christchurch Arts Centre,
and minutes from central shopping and transport hubs, Papa Hou (Treasure Box) was purpose built, converting under-used squash courts and a gymnasium to

soundproofed studios and a multi-purpose theatre, with funky graffiti art walls, built in sound systems and great floors!
