The Teacher:

I've been bellydancing for 17 years. Originally from Brazil, I have a deep love and understanding of oriental bellydance. In Brazil I danced in professional bellydance troupe Nureen, who have won many top awards and competitions for our performances. I've been a sub teacher at Snake Charmer Bellydance since 2009.

Philosophy: The greatest joy in my life is to see women find their rhythm and inner power through dance. Focusing in dance as an art, integrating body technique, musicality and expression, belly dance classes are an invitation to enter a beautiful journey of self-esteem, self-knowledge, creativity, femininity and of course, joy!

The Teacher:

I started dancing in 1999 at Rakaça Templo de Dança School, in Brazil. Later I became a tutor as well as performing in the folkloric group. I've studied with Michele Trentin, Raqia Hassan, Katia Eshta, Diana Tarkhan, Mohamed El Hosseny, Soraia Zaied, Ranya Renée, Ansuya, Nourhan Shairf, Karim Nagi, Esmeralda, Sayonara Linhares, Nerissa. I've performed regularly in New York and New Jersey.

My philosophy is to create a safe, warm, empowering and exciting environment for women to learn belly dance. My goal is for my students to feel confident belly dancing and have the skillset and ability to make artistic choices in their belly dance.

The Teacher:

Proficient in both oriental and tribal fusion belly dance Rosa has invested a lot in her training, regularly travelling overseas to upskill herself. As a soloist Rosa has performed locally and internally. Rosa has a strong focus on technique, stage presence, musicality and dance composition in her performances. Rosa is also an experienced fitness trainer and group exercise instructor.

Philosophy: To inspire, motivate and create confidence in women through Middle Eastern Dance; to encourage students to explore this dance individually at their own pace and create a supportive, fun environment, yet provide mentally and challenging learning technique; and to educate students on the traditions, styles, language and music of Middle Eastern dance.

The Teacher:

Started with Huda for 4 years and briefly with Leilah, Moonjelly and Tahiya. Attended many festivals in the US since 2004 but attracted to Suhaila and Jamila Salimpour completing Suhaila’s level one in 2007. Also studied Egyptian oriental and folkloric in Egypt since 2006 and since 2009 have had periods of living there deepening my knowledge of the culture.
