Philosophy: Applying and practicing different playing techniques. Working through and filling Middle Eastern rhythms. Improving to play whole Drum Solos. Explaining connections between Middle Eastern music and dance. Having fun exploring different layers in the music and enjoying group dynamics. Other Middle Eastern hand drums are also included.

The Teacher:

First got introduced to ME drumming in Germany 1986 by Bruno Assenmacher covering about 15 of the most common ME rhythms. Later started again in 2005 and since then learned from Yeow, Matt Stonehouse and HandsOn. Being a dancer by trade knowledge of rhythms is in existence. Sessions are done together with Andrea who advises on playing frame drums.

Training for Teaching: NZ Adult Tutor Training course (2008). Several Adult Tutor Training Courses in Germany.
